Lynn Powers grew up in the 1960's watching the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs and continues to share her passion with space whenever she can. She has been an amateur astronomer since 1994 when she got her first telescope. Summers are spent traveling around the Northwest presenting Education and Public Outreach programs to students of all ages. It’s not uncommon to put in 10K miles on her car taking her telescopes around to various events during the few weeks she’s not working at Bozeman High School. She is currently president of the Southwest Montana Astronomical Society and has participated in many citizen science projects including Globe at Night and Aurorasaurus.
