About

Born in Rome, after the high school he has decided to move a little further north to see the polar closer to the zenith. He has studied astronomy in Padua and then has thought it would be interesting to change also longitude by one degree towards east. Then he has earned a master's degree in "Communication of Science" at SISSA in Trieste. Just after that he has found the courage inside to move to Bolzano, where he finally has found a job at the Planetarium South Tyrol.

Past Activities

1) In autumn 2014 we have organized in Planetarium a conference with Walter Haberer, an expert about light pollution for the local government.
2) In the same day was also inaugurated a free exhibition with pictures of polluted sky all around South Tyrol.
3) All municipalities in Eggen Valley have promoted since years the replacement of all street lamps with brand new LED cut-off models.
4) In the last 5 years we have offered to classes the film „Losing the Dark“ from Loch Ness Productions.
5) We have installed two cameras (mounted with fish-eye lenses), one of which was supplied with night sensor. You can see live the effect of light pollution live.
6) We have got 2018 the "Gold" certificate for our night sky and have been entitling to “I cieli più belli d’Italia”, that has increased our reputation as a beautiful location for high quality astro-tourism.
7) We organize regularly sky observation and space camps.
8) We show light pollution's effect during any interactive show.
