Since 2009, I have been developing a series of activities to raise awareness about the problems caused by light pollution and how to avoid them. Following are some examples.
_I gave lectures to mayors and authorities from various cities, mainly those around the Pico dos Dias Observatory;
_I maintain since 2012 a blog about light pollution in Portuguese (https://poluicaoluminosa.blogspot.com);
_I produced a booth on light pollution that was set up during Rio + 20 (2012).
_I created a web page on light pollution (http://www.lna.br/lp) for Rio+20 and made a booklet about light pollution that is available online (http://www.lna.br/lp/apostila_pl.pdf). More than 3000 booklets were distributed during Rio + 20.
_I have two published articles on the relationship between light pollution, the night sky and heritage (http://revistamuseologiaepatrimonio.mast.br/index.php/ppgpmus/article/view/529/541).
_I am participating in the stars4all initiative, with a TESS at Rio de Janeiro
